Based on the claimed "recent maintenance," the seller has recently put a lot of money into this car, which makes it all too strange that it's selling for so little. My guess is it's a money pit.

Idk, I found a few with less miles for just a bit more. Maybe the maintenance costs of these cars have really driven down their resale value

oh, in no freaking way would it be my only car :P

If VW bring that golf Wagon with a stick and AWD, i'll probably pick one up as a DD, M5 for laughs, and then a collection of motorcycles because i need my fast (M5 is more class. its fast as a by-product)

I've been on the hunt, I will be looking at that silver one you posted. The "murdered out" version craigslist can keep. I was going to see a 540 with a plethora of upgrades and maintenance at a dealer yesterday, but someone sniped me out.

Just real being real over here, I FUCKING HATE that stupid ass looking head/gps unit in all M5's. Fuck me that thing is not only a complete POS, but it's fugly as shit and ruins the entire interior. When I buy one of these I will immediately not just have to put on new tires, rotors, pads, and calipers but I will also have to drop at least 1500 to remove the stock stereo to put in something that is understated and functional and doesn't look like the bucktooth-melty faced, lovechild of Hillary Clinton and John Kerry.
